The concert was part of The Jacksons’ Triumph Tour, named after their 1980 album, but it also functioned as an Off the Wall showcase since Michael never toured solo behind that breakthrough release.
The Chicago shows feature five Off the Wall songs, including the singles “Rock With You,” “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough,” and “She’s Out of My Life,” all performed in excellent form, with Michael’s vocals notably strong.
Triumph is represented by “Can You Feel It” along with “Lovely One” and “This Place Hotel.” The set closes with the 1978 classic “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground).
